I've been pleasantly surprised with how much interest there's been here on the Dark Horse, and I believe a lot of people on here have already placed their orders/reservations.

If you're going to order a Dark Horse, or have already done so, say hello and share how you've spec'd your car.

The GT Prem convertible I want is 63k (fully loaded) but at least I can see it and sit in it before I buy it. I would order a Dark Horse but the issue I have is its going to list for 10k over MSRP. For that I need to test drive and be sure.

@darindenio
I fully understand your point, and it’s a good one. I would love to go order a new DH, but the prices have pushed me out of the market. The ADM is a horrific deterrent as well. I will own one down the road, but it won’t be brand new. I’ll survive the wait.

I‘ve ordered the Dark Horse Premium, fully loaded except for the CF Wheels and Painted stripes. I have an ‘86 SVO that was really fun to drive…back in the day, LOL! This will be my first vehicle purchase since buying a 2004 Nissan Titan that I still drive. I was hooked on the DH when I saw the first commercials last fall. Can’t wait for it to actually arrive…whenever that happens.

Ordered my 2024 Dark Horse Premium on 27MAR23, and received my confirmation from Ford the next day. I have owned a multitude of Fords, mainly Mustangs for the last 30+ years. My 2006 Mustang GT is getting a bit long in tooth and getting a bit tired. Then came the announcement of the new Dark Horse model last year and I was hooked! I have purchased 2 new Mustangs previously, but this the first time I have ordered a car directly from Ford. I will say, it was much easier to order a car then buy on from the Dealer lot. The only thing that ticked me off is as darindenio said the dealer slapped a $10K markup on the car that they aren't even going to sell, only deliver! Blows Chunks!!! But as they say if you want to play, you got to pay!

Maybe less people will buy it thus driving the long term value up.

There is that! The sales associate even tried to "console me" by saying that other dealers are marking them up even higher and the car will likely increase in value. That said, the main problem I had with it is that this particular dealer proudly advertises "Haggle free pricing" and "No Dealer Fees!"
My dealer is MSRP. Signed buyers agreement at that. No reason to pay $10k more if you can just go somewhere that doesn't do that. Until people start refusing, that practice will continue.

My dealer is also MSRP, we signed the buyer's agreement at the quoted online build price, plus associated titling and taxes.

Ordered mine on 3/28. Dark Horse Premium, Blue Ember Metallic and Appearance package.

The key word in that statement is "If", there are only 2 dealerships within a 50 mile radius and the reason I originally chose this one is the advertised "Haggle free pricing" and "No Dealer Fees!" The other one I know is worse.
Ordered on Monday. No markup. Local Ford Dealer sells 90% trucks (Texas) and didn't know they could order 2024 Mustangs yet (they really don't care about cars).
Followed-up and yes, it is indeed on order with Ford.

Received a call from the dealership today letting me know that they have received confirmation that they are receiving four DHs, and confirming that one of them is mine. He didn't have an ETA, but the confirmation was definitely a step in the right direction!

That was a smart idea reaching out to them and seeing if it could be done. Especially for a Dark Horse order!

Congratulations on ordering your Dark Horse @Underway and welcome to the forum! What do you like more about the Dark Horse compared to the GT?

I ordered mine on April 3rd. I got the 700A package because I enjoy the heated/cooled seats. I ordered the 6 speed with the Dark Horse color scheme. This will be my 4th Mustang. Super excited about this!!!
