Hello everybody! I've been waiting for a long time to treat myself to a new car and I'm holding out for the new Mustang. I've heard rumors about it using electric power somehow and I'm curious to see how Ford pulls it off.

Welcome! I am also very interested to see what an EV Mustang will look like, but I'm probably going to grab one of the last internal combustion engine Mustangs while we can still buy one.

Thanks! Glad to be here. I'm still planning on getting a gas powered Mustang, maybe a hybrid if there's a huge performance increase. I'm interested in EVs but I'm not ready to give up V8s yet.
Welcome @Cobra.

That's expected to happen to most of the Mustang line although I doubt they'll do it to top of the range versions. But I could be wrong with how much they might be trying to sell us on hybridization:

When Raj Nair was president of Ford North America, the executive let it slip that the long-anticipated Mustang Hybrid utilizes an EcoBoost-type engine. Taken as a whole, this setup enables “V8 power and even more low-end torque” than today’s Coyote V8.

Are there any specs and/or features you're hoping to see?
I wouldn't be surprised if the GT becomes a V6 twin turbo this time and Ford saves the thirsty V8 for the next GT350.

If the EcoBoost V6 replaces the Coyote V8 I won't lie, I'll be disappointed, even if it does produce more power. The Mustang should always have a V8 option to me. Do you think Ford will ever have a V8 hybrid? I heard Lexus is working on bringing theirs back.
