It looks like Ford has hired Aiden Chang-il Lee to be the head of the design for the new Mustang. According to his LinkedIn profile he'll be the "Senior interior/exterior designer" for the Mustang team.

Prior to working at Ford he has spent time working with General Motors with their trucks and SUVs such as the 2021 GMC Yukon/Chevrolet Tahoe. He also worked at Chrysler working on the Pacifica, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Dodge Charger.

He's got a wide range of design history which I think is an asset. Gives him a unique perspective on different design elements. The Mustang should be in good hands, all the cars he's worked on have done pretty well.

Genuinely terrified now that the 2023 will look like this rendition with the gaping maw and soft edges. IMO although a hit seller the charger is one of the ugliest cars out there.

That's fair but just because a designer works on certain cars it doesn't mean it carries over to other cars. Plus it's not like he's the only person working on the design of the Mustang.

I keep reminding myself every render of the 2005 with the exception of one released a week before the car was unveiled didn’t look a thing like any of them. Guess I’m just anxious

I'm definitely the same way. Every time a new piece of information comes out I'm chomping at the bit hahaha.
