Carbon-Bodied 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 Recreation Will Cost $300,000
Shelby American and Classic Restorations are introducing a new limited line o carbon fiber-bodied heritage Mustangs called the Shelby GT500CR.
Only 25 units will be made and it will cost $298,000, not including optional customized upgrades.
It weighs 600 pounds less than a steel version and under the hood it has a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 being force-fed by a Stage 2 Whipple supercharger paired to a Tremec six-speed manual transmission. It also has tubular subframe connectors, adjustable coil-over suspension, roll-bar, hydraulic steering rack, Wilwood brakes, and a stainless-steel performance exhaust by MagnaFlow.
